Filing an Email into KRIS

There are 3 ways you can save an email into KRIS:

  1. Drag & drop into a KRIS folders in the File Plan tree view
  2. Using the Save Email option in the ribbon tab in your Outlook
  3. Using the Right-click menu option

 

A. Drag & drop into a KRIS folder in the File Plan tree view

  1. On the Home tab or KRIS tab in your Outlook, click on the File Plan button.
  2. On the KRIS File Plan panel, expand the Favourite Files, Recently Accessed Files and/or your file plan to look for the folder () that you would like to save your emails into.
  3. Select the emails that you would like to save, then drag them to the folder in the File Plan and release your mouse cursor. Your email will start filing into the folder.

 

B. Using the Save Email option in the KRIS tab in your Outlook

  1. First, select the email by clicking on it in the inbox.
  2. Select your saving options. You can save just the individual email, just the attachment in the email or the entire conversation.
  3. KRIS profile form will load and display the email selected on the right most pane.
    • If you selected to save the email, it will show the individual email
    • If you selected to save just the attachment, it will show the individual email, but only the attachment(s) are checked
    • Clicking the email subject title allows you to change/edit the title that will be filed into KRIS.
    • Click “Next” once you are ready to save.
  4. Select the File Reference using the “+” button to identify the folder where the email will be saved on KRIS.
    • Optionally, you may enter Keywords or Synopsis.
    • If Auto upload subsequent replies is on, it will automatically file future emails in the same thread.
  5. Once you’ve confirmed your selection, click Save.

 

C. Using the Right-click menu option

  1. Select the email by clicking on it in the inbox.
  2. Right-click & you will see a few options:
    • Save Email To option allows you to directly file into one of your recent folders. Do note that this option only saves the particular email that you have selected.
    • Save Email option prompts the same flow described in (B) above.
    • Save Conversation option prompts the same flow as saving entire conversation
