Filing an Email Conversation into KRIS & Enabling Auto-Filing

With the “Save Conversation” button, you can easily retrieve the entire email threads in Outlook and save them to KRIS as records. It also gives you the option of auto saving subsequent emails (future incoming and outgoing emails) of the same email conversation to the same folder.

To file an entire email conversation to KRIS,

  1. Select an email in MS Outlook.
  2. Click on Save Conversation button at the toolbar.
  3. A list of emails belonging to the same conversation will be displayed. Click on the Next button
  4. In the Profile Form, select the file reference and fill up the necessary metadata.
  5. Select Auto Save Subsequent Emails option to enable auto filing of subsequent emails from this email conversation to the same file reference as defined in Step 4.
  6. Click on Save button.
  7. The dark green KRIS-Auto File category and KRIS Info Panel will be displayed for each filed email once the filing process has completed.

Configuring Auto Filing Setting for an Email Conversation

You can disable the Auto Filing mode for any email conversation by deselect the Auto Trail option in the KRIS Info Panel.

In other words, you can also turn on the Auto Filing mode to start tracking and capturing email conversation (subsequent incoming or outgoing replies) of any filed emails at any point of time by checking the AutoTrail option.

  1. Right click on a filed email and select View Profile option.  2. Turn on/off the Auto Filing setting in the selected section as shown below.
